Where do you meet?
All services take place at Wateree Baptist Church. (2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC, 29020)
What should I expect on my first visit?
Upon arriving for your first visit, we will have greeters in the sanctuary to make you feel welcome here at Wateree.
For Sunday School, we have an adult Sunday school class that begins at 9:15 AM each Sunday morning.
We offer a nursery and childcare through Christ Community Church, with whom we share some of our facilities which begins at 10:15 AM.
On Wednesday nights, we have a prayer meeting at 7 PM. Preceding our Bible study, we have choir practice at 6 PM; all members are welcome if they are interested in singing in our choir.
We are currently offering a Thursday afternoon Bible study beginning at 2 PM.
Offerings may be placed in receptacles near doors in the Sanctuary, but as our guests, do not feel obligated in any way to participate.
At the end of each worship service there is a time for those who may wish to respond called an invitation. This is a time to reflect, pray about what was heard during the message, and think about what God might want us to do in response. Some people respond by coming down to the front to speak to the pastor about a decision in their life, or how they may take the next step in their relationship with the Lord. The pastor will be at the front door after the service dismisses if you have any further questions or need a specific prayer.
Our goal is to help you lead your family to passionately follow Christ. Everything we do is with this purpose in mind.
What is your worship service like?
Our services favor tradition. While we sing some contemporary music, we believe a good blend is key to glorifying Christ!
What is the preaching like?
While there are many different teaching and preaching styles, we believe the most important word is God’s word. Our traditional teaching and preaching style tends to focus on a particular passage each week.
What if I’m not perfect?
While we serve a perfect God, we know that we are imperfect. If you are looking for a perfect church, you need to keep looking because we are a church full of imperfect and broken people who have found grace and forgiveness.
What should I wear?
We don’t make a big deal about dress because we know that while man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the heart. At the same time, we understand that no one wants to feel out of place. We find that most people dress “business casual” here at Wateree.
Is there parking?
We have plenty of parking on the left side of the sanctuary.
